Here at The Mailing Room we have a policy of continual improvement, meaning we’re thrilled to receive our ISO 9001:2015 certification, well ahead of the latest 2018 edition deadline. As a proud holder of the existing ISO 9001:2008 certificate, we were keen to continue building the high levels of customer service required for the latest edition of ISO’s flagship quality systems standard, gaining approval on February 28th 2017.
As stated by ISO’s Nigel Croft, Chair of the Committee on Quality Systems, the new 2015 standard is all about confidence for the consumer, ensuring ‘confidence in the products and services that are received from their certified supplier’. Receiving our latest certification is therefore something to be proud of, for the business, our people and our customers.
Not only does the ISO 9001 standard help us demonstrate to customers that we can offer products and services of consistently good quality, it also acts as a tool to streamline processes and make us more efficient at what we do.
Acting ISO Secretary-General Kevin McKinley explains: “ISO 9001 allows organisations to adapt to a changing world. It enhances an organisation’s ability to satisfy its customers and provides a coherent foundation for growth and sustained success.”
Talking at the launch of the much-anticipated new standard, Kevin McKinley concluded: “The world has changed, and this revision was needed to reflect that. Technology is driving increased expectations from customers and businesses… We are seeing a trend towards more complex global supply chains that demand integrated action, so organisations need to perform in new ways. I am confident that the 2015 edition of ISO 9001 will help them achieve this.”
As a company, our ISO certificate for quality management underlines the ethos that we’re here to help you and your business, every step of the way. “We believe that, when choosing your business partner, you want somebody who is there for you when needed, not just at the start,” says our Customer Service Manager, Dawn Hamilton-Fishwick. “Receiving the next level of ISO 9001 demonstrates our strong customer focus and motivation to deliver.”
On the 28th February 2017, The Mailing Room received the official ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Registration for: Sales and lease of franking machines and related equipment. Inspection, maintenance and repair services for franking machines and related equipment, in accordance with Royal Mail requirements.
