Royal Mail announces a 3p increase to First (70p) and Second (61p) stamps from 25th March 2019. Prices remain among the best value in Europe, though you can still save up to 33% on postage with Mailmark franking!

From Monday 25 March, the price of a First Class stamp will increase by 3p to 70p and the price of a Second Class stamp will increase by 3p to 61p. In addition, the price of a Large Letter First Class stamp will rise by 5p to 106p; a Large Letter Second Class stamp will rise by 4p to 83p.
These changes are necessary to help ensure the sustainability of the Universal Postal Service, though Stamp prices remain among the best value in Europe
Royal Mail research1 shows that the European average for First Class letters (0-100g) is 99p. The UK First Class stamp price comes in 29% below this price. The European average for Second Class letters (0-100g) is 74p, with the UK Second Class stamp price 18% below this.
