14th October is International E-Waste Day 2021
According to the UN, global e-waste is the fastest growing waste stream due to higher product consumption rates, short life-cycles and few options for repair. Despite the mixture of harmful substances and precious materials, only 17.4% of e-waste is properly collected treated and recycled, so IEWD helps to highlight the issue and educate re the need to commit to recycling.
At TMR we ensure that when a franking machine reaches its end-of-life, it’s returned to base to be de-licenced and safely recycled or repurposed, plus run our Return & Save scheme for recycling used franking ink cartridges, to avoid anything ending up in landfill.
We’re pleased to be doing our bit, as part of our overall sustainability commitment and even provide 5% off every replacement franking ink cartridge for your returned empty. Just send it back in the Freepost bag provided, along with your details on the Return & Save card and we’ll do the rest. Plus don’t worry the bag is biodegradable and the card is both recycled and recyclable…
Hopefully by all working together we can stop the rise in waste and increase recycling in all its forms, to help the planet and future generations. Thank You!
