As part of our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, The Mailing Room is delighted to share our 2025 CSR & Sustainability Impact Report.
We are proud to be able to highlight the progress, partnerships and positive change we’ve helped create over the last twelve months.
CSR & Sustainability have never been something we treat as a policy on a shelf. It’s built into how we run the business, from being an accredited Living Wage Employer to our ongoing membership of 1% for the Planet, and it’s channelled into three programme areas that reflect the issues that matter most to our team:
Developing People, Supporting Communities, and Environmental Protection.
We believe a successful CSR strategy has to go beyond good intentions to make a genuine, on-the-ground difference to the organisations and people who need it most, and this year’s report is our fullest picture yet of what that’s looked like in practice.
Over the past year we’ve worked in partnership with many incredible organisations, each tackling a different challenge in their own community. Healthier Heroes have continued to support veterans and their families across Preston and West Lancashire through a dedicated outreach worker, helping people rebuild lives affected by hardship, homelessness and isolation. Bury Cricket Club and Rawtenstall Cricket Club have opened the game up to more young people than ever, regardless of background or ability, while BWA’s Future Pros programme has introduced a new generation to competitive watersports.
Spirit of Shankly have kept their mobile food pantry, community art and drama clubs, and debt advice service running for families across Anfield, Kensington and Toxteth, and the Anne Williams Golf Day once again brought the football community together to raise vital funds for local causes. Through our environmental partners, City of Trees and Farm Urban, we’ve helped bring a derelict tree nursery back to life in Bury and put fresh, leafy greens into the hands of families who need them most, all funded through our 1% for the Planet commitment.
In 2025, 3,292 individual members accessed the Tiber Street Food Pantry, helping provide fresh food to more than 11,500 family members.
In 2025, our 1% for the Planet partner, Farm Urban, inspired 230 young people through its education programmes, reaching 155 primary school pupils and 75 secondary school students.
Through our “GiveBack” Ink Return Programme, we diverted 206.15kg of plastic waste from landfill in 2025 and raised funds for our community partner, Friends of Phillips Park.
None of this happens by writing a cheque and stepping back. Every member of our team has access to paid volunteering days to support a cause of their choice, and we work as closely as we can with each partner so that our support goes where it’s needed most, not just where it’s easiest to measure. It’s this closer way of working that we think sets our CSR programme apart, and it’s the reason the relationships in this report have grown stronger, not just longer, year on year.
We’re proud of what’s been achieved, but we know the work is never really finished. Over the coming months we’ll be using this blog to go beyond the headline numbers, sharing the stories behind them in more depth with a closer look at each partner — so if you’d rather follow the journey than just read the summary, this is the place to check back.
